December 22, 2005 Report on Pakistan Earthquake

Dec. 10, 2005 - Relief supplies shipped to Pakistan:

1. Dec 5, 2005 - 52 pallets of relief supplies weighing approx. 36,000 lbs. consisting of food, blankets, medicine, and medical equipment shipped to Pakistan.

2. Oct 31, 2005 - 52 pallets of relief supplies weighing approx. 28,000 lbs. consisting of food, medicine, and blankets shipped to Pakistan.

3. Oct 25, 2005 - 8000 Blankets and 425 tents of various sizes sent to Pakistan.

4. Oct 15, 2005 - 15 pallets of medical relief supplies weighing approx. 6,000 lbs sent to Pakistan.

Nov. 1, 2005 - There is still an urgent need for tents and blankets in the earthquake stricken region. You can help the victims as they face the winter without shelter by donating online for a tent along with 10 blankets for only $200.00.

ERFO has been successful in collecting two large medicine and medical supply donations totaling $3,400,000.00 in value and close to 17 tons (35,000 pounds) in weight, these have been successfully delivered to the areas most in need of medical relief in Pakistan.

Oct. 17, 2005 – With the onset of cold weather in the areas hit by the earthquake, many of the survivors have been fighting for their existence in temperatures of -5°C (23°F). Due to the urgency of need for blankets and tents, as of October 16th, ERFO with the help of generous contributors has sent 500 tents (6-24 person capacity) and 10,000 blankets (1 and 2 person) to the affected areas. Other NGOs interested in sending their aid in the form of more tents and blankets, can coordinate their efforts by contacting Dr. Reza Naghavi at (+1) 516-996-5900 or rnaghavi@optonline.net.

Oct. 10, 2005 – Earthquake Relief Fund for Orphans is urging the Iranian-American, Pakistani-American, Indian-American, and all other communities to make donations and support the victims of Pakistan/India Earthquake.

ERFO is collecting donations to help the rescue efforts and those affected by the earthquake. Please give to those whose lives have been destroyed by natural disasters. Remember—every dollar is appreciated and fully tax deductible!
